Hazard Communication Program. Introduction. In order to fulfill its obligation to protect the health and safety of employees, [company name] has developed the following hazard communication standard (HCS) program to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards 29 CFR and 29 CFR OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) is based on a simple concept -- that employees have both a need and a right to know the hazards and identities of the chemicals they are exposed to when working.

Under this program employees are informed of the contents of the OSHA Hazard Communications Standard, the hazardous properties of chemicals with which they work, safe handling procedures and measures to take to protect themselves from these chemicals.
